A few years back we installed a privacy fence in our backyard and, to protect the posts, we put on cedar caps. I wanted something a little different and stylish on the corners and gate posts and ended up using acorn finials. Since, we have received many compliments and inquiries as to where we bought them and how we installed them. I can tell you they were one of the easiest things we have ever done!
But I wanted something a little different on our new deck we had built this past spring. The contractor suggested several options including copper post caps. Well, I took one look at the copper and knew that’s what I wanted to use. After having the caps put on I am reassured everyday that I have made the right decision. I love the way the sunlight dances off them in the evening! It creates such a nice environment that we have eaten and entertained more outside this year than ever before. I’m sure part of the reason is the deck but it is also the copper tops.
