I love a beautiful pair of dangle earrings in silver as much as the next woman, but (some) say I take it a little too far. But why shouldn’t I wear earrings that look just like my new Maltese puppy? I’ve always said that earlobes are meant for decorating, and if you can’t be creative with what you put on your own body, then what’s the world coming to? Now that I’ve finally broken down and gotten my ears pierced, I plan to wear all sorts of not just French wire earrings but silver and gold studs as well.
One of these days my niece will inherit my five hundred plus pairs of earrings, along with over ninety other unique silver jewelry items of various types and kinds. For over sixty years I’ve been collecting necklaces, silver charms, silver and gold pendants and the list goes on. Who knows, maybe they’ll be worth something someday. I like to think so – but even if they aren’t, they’ll be fun for her daughters to play dress-up with. I think we can all get a little too serious about our possessions!
